MedSolutions uses Cognos™ Business Intelligence Software specifically designed to manage outpatient radiology data. This flexible software allows the users to analyze data starting at the highest level of aggregation and literally "peel back" the layers of data until you have adequately gathered the information you need. Examples to the types of reports MedSolutions can provide are: Summary Reports: The summary reports can range from an overview of total activity to specific information such as savings, utilization trend by modality, per member per month costs, diagnosis and focused review summaries for high-tech imaging tests. Our standard reports provide you with a detailed progress report of the MedSolutions Radiology Management Program, and are available on the Internet, for easy access at any time. Another benefit of MedSolutions standard report package is the quarterly reporting and data summary with action steps. This quarterly action plan includes highlights of the MedSolutions program, the successes and the challenges, as well as the opportunities for additional cost savings that are specific to your market. In addition to the cost saving opportunities, there will be suggestions of how we can better service the network and the members and provide the most current and relevant radiology information to them on a timely basis. Ad Hoc Reports: Although our standard reports include a substantial amount of information, MedSolutions offers supplemental ad hoc reporting to accommodate customers' unique needs. Physician Profiling: These reports provide detailed feedback on referring physicians and radiology providers and can serve as the basis to improving diagnostic accuracy. Profiling reports are critical in communicating with referring physicians and radiologists, and play a key role in targeted physician education. Quarterly profiling reports detail each provider's utilization compared to total health plan utilization and national benchmarks, and serve as a 'report card' to reveal outliers for targeted physician education. Flexibility of the MedSolutions Data Reporting System Our data warehouse is arrayed in "data cubes" for rapid and easy evaluation of performance indicators. Any of hundreds of performance indicators can be dynamically displayed, changed, drilled down or drilled up to assess the information necessary to understand the performance of the program or to generate data to answer specific questions and obtain precise report results desired. Data can be layered in dimensions, filtered, ranked, manipulated with calculations, sorted, nested, or displayed in graphic and tabular formats. The system has rich functionality for producing and distributing results, including publishing to the internet with Adobe Acrobat or HTML, exporting to popular programs (such as Excel) or using converting to an ASCII file, or distribution as an email attachment.
