MedSolutions Adds New Associate Medical Director July 25, 2002 // PR NEWSWIRE// - NASHVILLE, TN. MedSolutions, the leading provider of radiology management solutions, announces the addition of Bruce R. LeForce, MD, to its team of physician experts. Dr. LeForce is a board-certified neurologist with added qualification in clinical neurophysiology. Dr. LeForce comes to MedSolutions after 12 years of clinical practice in Neurology, the last four years with Cumberland Neurology Group, a three-member single specialty group covering a five county area in east Tennessee. "Most practicing physicians are too busy to keep up with all the rapid advances in high-tech imaging, at least in terms of determining when the imaging studies are necessary and which study is most appropriate for a particular clinical situation," said Dr. LeForce. "MedSolutions has an outstanding clinical team that can help physicians and health plans provide appropriate, comprehensive, medically necessary care for patients." Dr. LeForce has previously performed peer review and utilization review for a number of managed care companies, including South Florida Utilization Review, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, InterMountain Healthcare and PHP Companies. Dr. LeForce has also performed Peer Review Analysis for CORE since 1997. He served in the Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas as Officer-In-Charge in the Electroencephalography Laboratory. He also served as a faculty member in a residency training program at Wilford Hall Medical Center. Dr. LeForce earned his B.S. degree in Chemistry (Cum Laude) at Rhodes College. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Louisville, and completed his internship in internal medicine and his residency in neurology at Wilford Hall Medical Center. In addition, he completed a one-year fellowship in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. LeForce is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology, and the American College of Physician Executives.
