MedSolutions Adds New Regional Medical Director May 23, 2002 // PR NEWSWIRE// - NASHVILLE, TN. MedSolutions, a leading radiology management services organization, announces the addition of board-certified radiologist Lisa Intriere, MD, MBA, as part of its growing team of medical directors. In addition to serving as MedSolutions' Northeast Regional Medical Director, Dr. Intriere is a Staff Radiologist in the Division of Abdominal Imaging (CT, MR, Interventional - non vascular) at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and on the faculty of the Harvard Medical School. As a Regional Medical Director based in Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Intriere has responsibility for clinical case review, guideline development and updates particularly in relation to indications for body imaging, and physician relations activities in the Northeast region. Lisa will be working with MedSolutions remotely, and will continue her clinical activities as a body imager at the Brigham and Women's hospital in Boston. Not only does Lisa bring outstanding and specialized radiology expertise to MedSolutions, she has spent the last four years as a healthcare consultant for CSC and has worked in numerous capacities with physicians and providers on both sides of managed care issues. These experiences will be essential in Lisa's role as regional medical director and as spokesperson for the MedSolutions' radiology management program." Dr. Intriere came to MedSolutions from the IT and Management Consulting Division of CSC, Global Healthcare Solutions Group, where she worked as a management consultant primarily in the Strategy and Performance Improvement Practices. Dr. Intriere's projects have included: managing the physician strategy initiative at a large Northeastern Academic Medical Center; managing the operational redesign initiative for the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Radiology Department at a 550 bed Teaching Hospital; managing the design and development of a disease management program for a moderate-sized HMO in the Midwest. Prior to joining CSC, Dr. Intriere was an Assistant Professor of Radiology in the Division of Abdominal Imaging at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center where she also completed her fellowship. She received an MBA from INSEAD, an MD from George Washington University, and a BA in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego. While at The New York Hospital, and in addition to her clinical and academic responsibilities, she was active in the re-engineering effort of the Department of Radiology as a member and leader of several task forces. She has also presented scientific research at a number of leading Radiology Conferences, including the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the European Congress of Radiology (ECR), and the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS).
