MedSolutions Announces New Medical Director January 31, 2001 // PR NEWSWIRE// - Nashville, TN - MedSolutions, Inc., announced today the addition of a new medical director, Dr. James Andrews, Jr. Dr. Andrews is responsible for managing key components of MedSolutions’ medical management program, ensuring the delivery of superior and cost-effective imaging services for the company's customers and their participating providers. He came to MedSolutions from the Medical Center Clinic and West Florida Regional Medical Center in Pensacola, Florida, where he practiced for 23 years, and served as the Director of the Department of Nuclear Medicine and the Co-Director for the Department of Nuclear Cardiology. “As a practicing radiologist it became quite clear to me that as technology advanced it was harder and harder for clinicians to keep up with which test is best for each patient,” said Dr. Andrews. “MedSolutions has stepped in with a much-needed service, providing guidance as to which imaging study is most appropriate for a given clinical condition. Dr. Andrews was a founding member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, the Society of Nuclear Medicine, and the American College of Cardiology, among others.
