MedSolutions has a very flexible network management approach. We can assist you in refining an existing radiology services network, or we can work with you to create a new network. MedSolutions is currently contracted with over 75% of the nation's freestanding imaging providers across the country. The first goal of network
management is to ensure adequate geographic coverage for all members. Our Network
Management Department assesses market need, existing provider
networks, and claims paid information. Our networks include a core group of hospitals and imaging centers, ensuring appropriate geographic coverage for all radiology modalities covered. MedSolutions’ networks are designed to accommodate patients of all ages and needs, including open magnets for claustrophobic and obese patients and mobile imaging services for members in nursing homes, residential care settings and rural locations. All providers in MedSolutions’ radiology networks are required to meet quality requirements specific to radiology. A key feature of MedSolutions’ network is the ability, through utilization management, to direct healthplan patients to the most convenient, qualified, and cost-effective providers in the network. We are also able to manage leakage of high-cost exams to non-network providers.
